We have had a long, amazing journey as Independent Cottage Classes (ICC). After 10+ years we have incorporated as a nonprofit in Georgia on the journey towards federal 501(c)3 status and becoming a federally recognized educational nonprofit!
During our journey we needed a name change to file for our nonprofit llc in the State of Georgia, so G.U.I.L.D. was born! G.U.I.L.D. stands for Garden of Unique Individuals Learning Diligently! Flowers grow in a garden as our children grow in school, we are all unique in our own way, and to learn diligently is to be a learner for life! Besides, who hasn't always wanted to be part of a guild!
Join our journey and be a part of our G.U.I.L.D.! We are an all-volunteer community that runs as a University Model Hybrid, enroll your student in all their grade specific classes or just enroll them in one! Is there a club you would like your student to participate in? Come for just the club!! We do need parent volunteers to help with various things during the semester on a weekly, or monthly basis. Some volunteer opening we have are teaching assistant, hall monitor, party/activity planner, etc. Not all of the volunteer opportunities require one to be at classes everyday and if you don't feel like teaching is your calling, don't! That said, we do need new parent teachers to help us out. So, if you think you want to teach a class or have a class in mind you'd like to offer, please contact us and let us know! We'd love to start that conversation.
